Client Services Manager — Women’s Basketball

Octagon is seeking a Client Services Manager to support the growth of its women’s basketball talent business. This role will work directly under the Director of Women’s Basketball to help manage athlete partnerships, execute brand campaigns, and ensure best-in-class service for athletes and brand partners.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about the rapidly growing women’s basketball landscape across college and professional levels. This role will play a key part in day-to-day athlete management, partnership execution, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities

Athlete & Client Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned women’s basketball talent and their teams
  • Support relationship management with athletes, ensuring strong communication and coordination across all brand commitments
  • Assist with managing athlete schedules related to media, partnerships, appearances, and content

Partnership Execution

  • Lead operational execution of brand partnerships including deliverables, timelines, approvals, and reporting
  • Coordinate with internal brand teams and external partners to ensure seamless campaign activation
  • Track and manage deliverables across social media, appearances, and content production

Business Development Support

  • Assist in identifying new brand partnership opportunities across women’s basketball
  • Prepare athlete marketing materials including decks, partnership recaps, and proposals
  • Support outreach and relationship building with brands interested in entering the women’s basketball space

Content & Social Coordination

  • Work with athletes and brand partners to coordinate content creation and approvals
  • Track social media deliverables and campaign performance metrics
  • Help identify content opportunities that highlight athlete personality, performance, and storytelling

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain partnership trackers, contracts, and deliverable calendars
  • Coordinate travel, appearances, and logistics related to athlete commitments
  • Support internal reporting and campaign recaps for brand partners

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience in sports marketing, talent representation, brand partnerships, or athlete management
  • Strong understanding of the women’s basketball landscape (NCAA and WNBA)
  • Experience managing campaigns across social media and athlete partnerships
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and fast-moving timelines
  • Passion for athlete storytelling and brand partnership strategy

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with athletes or influencers
  • Knowledge of NIL and athlete marketing partnerships
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content campaigns
  • Background in sports agencies, marketing agencies, or talent representation
