Program Dates:
July 7 - July 22, 2023
Octagon Talent + Properties is hosting a two-week virtual intensive program (July 7-July 22) to introduce and expose 16 HBCU students to the extensive career opportunities that exist in the realm of talent representation. We will provide deep dives into the roles, responsibilities, and career paths of athlete and talent representation professionals including:
- Agents / Client Managers
- PR / Communications
- Marketing / Sales
- Financial Services
- Legal
- Accounting
- Creative
- Content Production
- Digital Strategy
Students will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring circles with agency professionals who have been in the industry for 20+ years.
As part of the HBCU Virtual Career Accelerator Program, students will participate in a Case Study Challenge utilizing insights gained from the program experience to compete for one of four $1,000 scholarships.
The program will culminate with an in-person networking event in Washington D.C., where we will announce the winners of the scholarships. Travel stipends will be provided.
