24 Races. But Not Every Race Plays The Same Role For Brands.

October 9, 2026

Last weekend in Malaysia was a reminder of just how quickly brands in Formula 1 sometimes need to adapt. A shift in market means rights, assets and activation plans built for one location may not translate perfectly to another. The challenge is making those assets work while remaining relevant to the local audience and culture.

Now attention turns to Singapore, which has established itself as a cornerstone of the F1 calendar in APAC and one of the most important commercial and cultural moments of the season.

What makes Singapore particularly interesting is what happens beyond the circuit. For a week, F1 sits at the intersection of business, leadership, technology, hospitality, entertainment, and culture, with the energy of the race spreading across the city.

And that creates an important lesson for brands. The opportunity is not just to activate the assets sitting within a partnership. It is to understand the market, the audience and what is happening around the race, then use the energy of F1 and the surrounding culture to make those assets work harder.

That could mean B2B conversations during the day, hospitality and experiences around the race, content that taps into local culture, or finding ways to be relevant to audiences who may never actually enter the circuit.

The Octagon team will be on the ground this weekend supporting clients across financial services, technology and consumer brands, helping bring those different programmes to life.

Singapore may be one of 24 Grands Prix, but the opportunity for brands is to treat it as a market moment in its own right.

See you in Singapore.
