Mfiondu (Fi) Kabengele is a center for the Sacramento Kings. Fi was traded to the Kings in 2021 after being selected in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft by the Clippers. Prior to the draft, he played for Florida State where he was named the 2018-19 ACC Sixth Man of the Year and led the team in scoring that season. Fi was also a key part of the Florida State team that made it to the Elite 8 in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and hit the buzzer beater that sent the Seminoles to the Sweet 16 in the 2019 NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history. The nephew of former NBA standout, Dikembe Mutombo, Fi is known for being extremely outgoing and personable in nature. He speaks at least three languages, was born in Toronto to his parents who are natives of the Congo.
