Octagon Adds Industry Veteran Adam Gelvan To Entertainment Management And Production Division

Octagon announced today that veteran agent and producer Adam Gelvan has joined the agency’s Entertainment Management and Production group, further expanding Octagon’s leading entertainment division. In the role, Gelvan will manage Octagon’s roster of directors, producers, and on-camera talent. Gelvan’s existing clients will also join Octagon.

Gelvan will report to Kyell Thomas, Managing Director, Octagon Entertainment.

Gelvan brings nearly two decades of experience in talent management, content development, and production, managing a signature collection of top-tier clients including five-time Emmy award-winning director Rory Karpf, Emmy and Peabody award-winning director Cynthia Hill, Tribeca Film Festival-winning and Emmy nominated director Dyana Winkler, SXSW winning director and writer Ben Nabors, and a host of other prominent producers and directors.

Gelvan joins Octagon from Rain Management Group, where he oversaw their non-scripted and documentary efforts. In that role, he represented a diverse roster of producers, filmmakers and talent, working on a many high-profile projects, including HBO Max’s “What Happened to Brittany Murphy,” hit Hulu/YouTube series “Exposure,” Netflix’s upcoming “Woodstock 99” documentary series, and many more.

Gelvan started his career at the William Morris Agency where he worked as a television packaging agent for over 10 years within their non-scripted television division.

Previously, Gelvan was also the General Manager for Whalerock Industries. During his time at Whalerock, Gelvan was focused on the development of 360, digital first business for world-class talent, brands and IP Holders.

Throughout his career, Gelvan has worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars, including the KardashiansHoward SternKevin SmithPerry FarrellTyler the Creator, and Zendaya.
