Sports and Entertainment Leader Recognized for Creating an Encouraging and Inclusive Workplace Culture

MCLEAN, Va. – June 18, 2021 – Octagon, the preeminent talent management and marketing agency in global sports and entertainment, was today named one of The Washington Post’s 2021 “Top Workplaces” in the Washington, D.C. area. This year’s list of honorees crosses industries and includes law offices, business services firms, government contractors, and real estate companies, among a host of other D.C.-area businesses.

The comprehensive list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured such aspects of workplace culture as alignment, execution, and connection.

“We feel truly honored to be recognized as one of the top workplaces. Octagon has always relied on the excellent judgment of each person on our team, and we seek to empower, encourage, and care for them each and every day as they help our personality, brand, event, and media clients make the world a fairer, more understanding, and increasingly meritocratic place,” said Phil de Picciotto, Octagon’s Founder and President.

“Now in its eighth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to highlight the companies in the Washington-area that are leaders in company satisfaction and engagement,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “Throughout the past 15 months, these companies have had to make quick decisions in order to keep their employees safe while also balancing productivity and efficiency, and their employees have taken note of this great work.”

Octagon was also recently recognized as the “Most Attractive Sports Agency” to work for in the sports industry, by iWorkinSport.

The Washington Post hosted a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, June 17 to recognize the top-ranked companies. For more about The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces and to see the full list of this year’s honorees, click here.
