Octagon clients will have a strong presence at SXSW when it kicks off in Austin this weekend.

A trio of clients across Octagon’s diverse talent representation and management business will participate in panels, discussing hot topics in the sports and entertainment business.

March 11 - Sports Betting: No Longer Taboo for Leagues?

Andrew Brandt, ESPN and SI’s NFL Business Analyst, will join a panel to discuss the future of betting in professional sports. The panel will “explore the professional sports leagues’ rapidly evolving views of gambling and whether expanded legal sports betting is growing increasingly inevitable.”

March 13 - Will the Future of Sports Mean Equality for Women?

In another panel discussion, Washington Mystics star and 2015 WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne will offer her unique insights on the future of women in sports and how we can achieve equality.

March 15 - Power to the People: The Modern Marketplace

Chris Fowler, the host of ABC’s Saturday Night Football and voice of the College Football Playoffs, will moderate a discussion centered around the business of sports, technology, and ticket sales.
