Chicago, IL (April 17, 2018)

Octagon, the premier global sports and entertainment leader, has announced the signing of National Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee, Vladimir Guerrero. Baseball agents, Alan Nero, Brian Mejia and Ulises J. Cabrera will represent him for all business affairs.

In his second year of eligibility for the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Guerrero received 92.9 percent of the votes for his 16 seasons in the Major Baseball League (MLB).  Throughout the course of his career, Guerrero won an AL MVP and a nine time All-Star. Having played for the Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles, Guerrero will enter the Hall of Fame wearing a Los Angeles of Anaheim Angels hat.

As a player, Guerrero was one of the most feared hitters of his generation, producing 2,590 hits, 449 homers, 2,320 stolen bases, and hit .318 with a robust .931 on base plus slugging percentage over his career. Guerrero is one of only eight players in baseball history to have at least a .318 career batting average and .553 slugging percentage, joining hall of famers Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Stan Musial and Rogers Hornsby.

With Octagon, Guerrero aims to connect more with his fans and be active in building corporate relations among current and former MLB players. Guerrero's true “rags-to-riches” story has inspired young baseball players all over the world. As one of nine children, Guerrero grew up in poverty in the Dominican Republic and dropped out of school after the fifth grade to help support his family. Guerrero’s humble beginnings, unwavering determination, work ethic and athletic performance helped him climb to the top of the baseball standings.
