McLean, Va. (September 6, 2018) – Octagon, the sports and entertainment marketing leader, has signed golf legend and CBS and Golf Channel analyst, Sir Nick Faldo, to a full representation agreement. Faldo, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1997, is the winner of six Majors including three Masters® Tournaments and three Open Championship titles. Octagon will lead the global brand strategy for Faldo including broadcasting, content development, marketing, literary, speaking and other commercial opportunities.

The PGA Player of the Year (1990), Faldo spent 98 weeks as the World’s No. 1-ranked golfer and won over 40 tournaments. The only living British golfer to receive knighthood, he holds the all-time Ryder Cup record for most appearances (11) and most wins. He was the 2012 recipient of the Ambassador of Golf Award, presented annually by the Northern Ohio Golf Charities and PGA TOUR, and in 2015, Faldo also was named the Jack Nicklaus honoree for The Memorial Tournament for his contributions to the game of golf.  

As the lead analyst for CBS and the Golf Channel, Faldo is one of the most recognizable voices and faces in golf. The UK native spent two years as the lead analyst for ABC Sports’ golf coverage before joining CBS in 2007. In addition to CBS, Faldo serves as a lead analyst for Golf Channel’s coverage of the PGA TOUR and is a contributing analyst for the network’s Live From programming, airing on-site from the sport’s biggest events.

In 1996 he instituted the Faldo Series to create access to golf for a younger audience with youth tournaments around the world. Today the Faldo Series hosts thousands of players around the world with 40 events in 32-plus countries. Rory McIlroy and Yani Tseng, who have both risen to a No. 1 World-ranking, are among those who have come through the Series. Most recently in 2018, Faldo launched the Major Champions Invitational, highlighted by 20 major champions mentoring and inspiring the next generation of players. 

Octagon’s talent representation and marketing business, named 2018 Best in Talent Representation by SportsBusiness Journal, spans more than 800 athletes, broadcasters and personalities including some of the golf’s best players and personalities including Xander Schauffele, Mark Calcavecchia, Chris Wood, Michael Breed, Hank Haney and Paige Spiranac.
