UK Sponsorship Awards 2016

Awards, UK, Europe

Last night we joined the industry’s finest to celebrate a breathtaking year of sponsorship and we’re delighted to announce that Octagon was named Consultancy of the Year!

2015 was all about impact and transformation – on our creative work and results – fueled by competitive new client wins from The Wimbledon Championships to Foot Locker. People sit at the heart of our transformation and this award wouldn’t have been possible without the creativity, passion and proactive thought leadership that our team delivered last year and where they continue to push boundaries in 2016.

At Octagon we also pride ourselves on long-standing partnerships and we were excited to see our work with AIG, the official insurance partner of New Zealand Rugby, recognised with two UK Sponsorship Awards – Business to Business Sponsorship and Best Rugby Union Sponsorship of the Decade.

In the Business to Business sector AIG saw off competition from the likes of DHL, Accenture, Lloyd’s and Vodafone, for their Rugby World Cup campaign. Despite not being a tournament sponsor we maximised AIG’s partnership with the All Blacks to create unique experiences for customers and prospects to drive new leads, retain business and meet commercial objectives, as well as boost morale and engage employees.

Our sister agency FRUKT also took home the Sponsorship Continuity Award for their work on the O2 Academy Music Venues. Beating the likes of RBS and Johhny Walker, Tennent’s Lager and The Bank of Scotland.

The O2 Academies are a nationwide network of 19 music prestigious venues serving over 3 million music fans each year. The award recognises FRUKT’s work in helping define and evolve the role for O2 in reaching music lovers across the UK.
