CNN: China's hunt for the next Li NaMedia, Tennis
In an interview with CNN, Jorge Salkeld, Senior Vice President of Octagon's tennis division, addressed the growing popularity of the sport in China and the marketing ramifications that a Chinese superstar would have in the region.
Speaking from the Wuhan Open in Central China where retired Grand Slam winner Li Na is idolized, Jorge speculated on the future of Chinese tennis.
"The next grand slam winner from China, that's the million dollar question...But they're coming. My prediction is that in five, six, seven years you are going to have 10 girls in the top 100."
